Selected Past Work

Simple
2014 —2017

Product Design, Brand Design

I helped to evolve Simple’s brand and product over several years. I played a central role in growing the design team from 2 (when I started) to 10 (when I left) and shipped a steady stream of innovative and well-adopted features to hundreds of thousands of users in a challenging and complex product space.

Portland State University, Middle East Studies Center
2013 — 2014

Web Design, Product Design

I designed a suite of extensible online learning sites for Portland State including interactive teaching modules that supported the instruction of Arabic, Turkish, Persian, and Hebrew, as well as a series of content modules for teaching American high school student about Arab culture through the lens of literature and film. The site is fully CMS-driven and supports RTL languages and a variety of configurable educational tools.

The Art Institute of Chicago
2008 — 2012

Web Design, Brand Design

I worked as a design generalist at the Art Institute of Chicago for several years after school. My work included everything from web design and print design to wayfinding and exhibition signage. My favorite project there was a Tumblr I made of Soviet propaganda posters which was recognized by both Tumblr and Creative Review.
